So sweet! |
I love coffee, but only if it doesn't actually taste too much like coffee. Basically, I love coffee-tinged milkshakes. Since I started calorie counting I've had to cut back on Frappucinos. Man, I miss Starbucks! Anyway, I figured out a way to have my decadent coffee fix without all of those empty calories (and hits to my budget).
Low Cal Coffee Drink
(90 calories)
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of cold coffee
- 1/2 cup of skim milk
- Torani Sugar Free Flavoring Syrups (to taste)
- 2 tablespoons Fat Free Reddi Whip
- 2 teaspoons Hershey's Syrup (or less)
Add the coffee and skim milk into a large cup (I like a lot of caffeine). I do my own blend of flavoring syrups. The sugar free versions are calorie free. I just add a bit of this and a bit of that until I like how it tastes. My favorite flavors are hazelnut, vanilla, caramel, and brown sugar cinnamon. Mix it all well.
My collection of Torani syrups. |
Here's the part that makes me feel like I'm having something a bit naughty. I top the coffee with Fat Free Reddi Whip and then drizzle a tiny bit of Hershey's Syrup on top.
You know it's going to be good. |
Now I can have my delicious coffee without the guilt. Yay! If you wanted, you could blend the coffee and milk with ice for a more authentic experience, but I really hate using the blender. It's so noisy. (Note to self - Invent a silent blender.)
Pretty, isn't it? |
Ohhh, you're fancy. My husband is a truck driver and was raised on super strong Folgers so that's what we drink around here. I've never been a flavored coffee girl but my daughter, who works for Starbucks, keeps trying to convert me.
