Thanks A Bunch Card

Flowers galore.

This is a little thank you card that I whipped up to thank my husband's super-sweet co-worker for sending me a ton of gorgeous handbags. I made it using some yummy Amy Butler mat paper and a few new stamps.
Ingredients:
  • Mat paper - 2 sheets
  • White paper
  • Stamps
  • Inks - pink & black
  • Scissors
  • Hole punch
  • Ribbon
  • Rhinestones
  • Markers
  • Straight edge
  • Glue stick
  • Stylus or bone folder
Cut a piece of white paper to go on the inside of the card. Leave about a 1/4" to 1/2" of the background paper showing. Glue it down with a glue stick and set it aside for later.

Inside's first.

Cut a strip of paper that fits the width of the card exactly. Use a scrap of paper to mask off the area that you don't want flowers and stamp as many flowers as you want. Go nuts. Remove the mask and stamp "thanks a bunch."

Can't have a thank you card without a thank you.

Using the same scrap of paper, mask off the flowers and stamp the light pink flowers over the text.

'Cause a pink flowery card needs more pink flowers.

Color in the flowers with markers. Fun!

Channel your inner child and color away.

The card needed sparkle, so I added self-adhesive rhinestones to the centers of the flowers.

Glitz!

Glue the band to the front of the card using a glue stick.

Add the band to the front.

Use a straight edge and a stylus to score a line down the left. This will make the card easy to open and easy to display upright.

Score!!!

Stack the front of the card on top of the back, making sure that the insides of the card are actually on the inside. Punch two holes on the left edge, inset about 1/4". Glue the left edges together.

Punchin' holes.

Insert ribbon into the holes and tie a bow.

More pink.

And that's it!

Finished!

Thanks a bunch, Gidget, for the fab bags!

See! Told you scoring the front makes it easier to display upright.
