Back in the Saddle (er...Home) Again

O. M. G! It's been twenty-one days since my last post and here's why...

Seán, Zara, and I just hanging out...at Ross Castle!

We went to Ireland! Okay, so that's nothing new. Seán's from there and I lived there and we go back every year to visit his family. But the point is, we had a fabulous time. The weather was good enough that Seán got in some golfing time with his buddies. Zara had a blast playing with her cousins, and slept well, and ate well. I got to play tour guide for my aunt. Aunt Lizetta got to see Ireland for the first time. The week went by so quickly that we weren't able to do half what we had planned. We did manage to see everyone, if not everything. We had so much fun.

The only shadow on an otherwise perfect trip happened in America, actually. Atlanta, Georgia's airport to be precise. Going through security there was so ridiculous and they were over-the-top rude. I will be doing my best to avoid that airport in the future.

Anyway, on to more pleasant things. Like jewelry. I made a pretty good haul this time. My favorite clothing store ever is Dorothy Perkins and, of course, one moves into town after I moved out. I make it a point to visit there every time we're in Killarney. And that's where I found my new owls. My owl obsession might be getting out of hand. Maybe. The silver necklace came from Muckross House and was given to me by my wonderful Aunt Lizetta. She also gave me the silver earrings. Love them so much!

My new sparkly things.

This ring was given to me by Deirdre. I just told her I liked it and she pulled it off her finger and gave it to me. How awesome is that?!

I love this ring!

I picked up a little something for myself at Muckross House...

I'm a sucker for a beautiful bag.

Zara got a ton of new things, but my fave is her new panda hat. It was too funny to pass up. Hope she doesn't hate me when she's older.

Zara modeling her new hat. Cuteness!

We had so much fun, but I'm just now recovering from the trip. Jet lag is brutal. I had planned on writing for NaNoWriMo while I was gone...yeah. That didn't happen. It looks like I won't be making the deadline. Big shock there. I do hope to finish it in my own time. Sometime soonish? Maybe?

And, completely off topic, I've changed the comments settings so that now you don't have to be a member of anything to leave a comment. I will still be moderating all comments, however. Not that I don't trust you or anything...

  1. I did miss you! I think it's awesome that Lizetta was able to go with you. It's mine (& Roger's) dream vacay so I'll try to work on my jealously ;) Glad you had a good time (minus Atlanta -- rude Americans ;) & that you've made it home safe & sound & with lots of gorgeous goodies! Welcome back!
