I’ve had the time of my life...

Soooooo happy to be there!

My husband Seán and I had the opportunity to go to the Greenbrier Classic and attend the Black Eyed Peas concert last Friday. I've been a giant BEP fan for, like, forever. And I've been a Fergie fan since way back in the Kids Incorporated days when she was still known as Stacy. Please don't do the math on that.

We started off at the Greenbrier (where I want to go live...assuming that all of the real estate in Holden Beach, NC is taken and we've won billions in the lottery) and stationed ourselves at the 18th hole. We were late getting there, so could only stay for two groups to play through.

The 18th hole. Pretty, right?

Yeah...that's the only golf photo I got. Golf's not so much my thing. I prefer flowers.

We spotted a big patch of Black Eyed Susans (I think) at the Greenbrier on our way to see the Black Eyed Peas.

Impatiens (The grounds at the Greenbrier are fabulous.)

Traffic was insane, so we left earlier than we would have liked in order to make it to the concert. Thank goodness we did. We made it with only maybe ten minutes to spare. While sitting still in traffic through Lewisburg, I soaked in the local architecture. The place is gorgeous and was recently voted America's Coolest Small Town. I definitely want to go back for a weekend at least.

So after sitting in traffic for 45 minutes to go 12 miles, we stood in line at the gates for, oh, about an hour just trying to get into the park. We got seats (patches of grass) very far away from the stage, but there were huge screens.

Thank goodness for the giant screens, 'cause we were this far away from the stage.

The show was so unbelievable. The production values were outstanding. I really did have the time of my life.

At the 18th hole. Standing in line at the concert. At the concert. (Notice how tired we look.)

So, why are you hearing about this a whole week later? We're just now recovering from the experience. We didn't make it home until 4:30 a.m. and we're so not used to that. Yeah, we're getting old.

In other news, Zara had her first sleepover that night and it went great. I was so worried. That was the first night I've been away from her since she was born. Turns out I care more about these things than she does. She had a blast playing with her cousins and didn't even ask about us. I feel loved.
